Homemade Tanning Bed

I decided to try to make my own tanning bed after reading about how crabs are spread. Aparently they are only killed by pesticides and not antibacterial cleaner! Yikes! And no, I did not get any crabs, this was more to just see if I could build one from internet parts. It works great!

People complain about sunbeds, What about friyed food or smoked fish ,like smoked sammon , barbiques. Its also cancer trigering or alcohol, coca-cola,
    Everything with moderation.
You have to find a balance in life.
By the way sunbeds are far more safer than the sun outside.

Hey really neat. I counted 6 ballast, 12 bulbs, 3 switches, and a timer. Im guessing each ballast controls 2 lamps. Does each switch turn power on to 2 ballast? So does each switch turn on 4 lamps. Does your bed run on 120v or 240V? Also can you post some part number information in the info area or where you bought your supplies from. How much did it cost to build? I think im going to build one just for fun. Nice video.

This is not fake it provides the amoun of UV and type of UV and Power of UV and Amount of UV ect the guy wanted .I would have put a reflector shield behind the bulbs bur maybe it has

  15. saverio1e says:

how is it fake??? it looks pretty real to me. and u don’t need acrylic covering the bulbs (not glass??) it’s for him only. I’m sure he knows not to touch or bump in to lamps. he is not running a biz!! I’m a owner of a tanning salon matter of fact im writing this right now from my salon. it’s not high-pressure, probably 100-160 watts lamps. pretty impressive not dumb

  16. 15 min per side, so 30 min

  17. Shmithers says:

    how long per session?

  18. BillySlone says:

umm, Im guessing you dont know that 98% of the best tanning beds out there are canopy tops.. Ie: High pressure beds.. You lay on the bottom, lay on your back for so long, then lay on your stomach for so long…

  19. babbycakes1996 says:

thats so fake i mean common u diddnt even have glass over the top so ur ass dosent get burnt andthat looks so dumb

  20. This is a joke, I’m a tanning bed tech and I can’t believe someone took the time to make this, won’t tan worth a beans by the looks of it. Prolly 110v and they don’t tan and the lamps are spread apart too far and not enough lamps to get a good even tan. LOL nice try though

  21. Stay out of gross tanning salons and you don’t have to worry about crabs.

This is kinda cool though. You should put a shield in front of the lamps though.

  22. About a week of consistent tanning. And to keep it about two days a week for a medium tan.

  23. Nope, I figure it has about half the bulbs of a regular bed so it must be ok.

how long does it take to get a noticable tan with that?
