How Long Should I Start Tanning In A Tanning Bed Before My Bridal Photos?

I just moved to a state that is really really cold compared to sunny CA where I am from. I am not horribly white, but I want to be as dark as cameron diaz for my bridal pictures in the middle of March. When should I start tanning in a tanning bed and for how long?

Since it’s your wedding coming up i suggest you be careful and only go for about 10-15 minutes, every day or whatever.

I would start now to get as dark as you want to be before then :)

  3. I wouldn’t use a tanning bed if I were you. Unless you want skin cancer. I suggest you go to a beauty salon and get a spray tan.

  4. don’t do it. you’ll look way fake. and everyone will know it. your natural color will look much prettier in the photos. fair skin looks much nicer in photos than tanned, soemtimes in photos tan skin looks too reddish.

  5. don’t do it beacuse you will look like to orangey

Since you pay for membership by the month I would start at the begining of february. And go every other day for 10 min and work up to 15. It all depends if you burn easily. You will get awesome results by march. Have an awesome wedding!

Start a month ahead. Go slow and build up to the full time as your skin progresses with the tan, 3 or 4 times a week. If you are worried about looking “orange” then don’t use a bronzer. Just use an accelerator. However, as long as it’s a professional indoor tanning salon product, it will NOT make you orange.

And just so you know, moderate UV exposure prevents internal cancers and is now linked to PREVENTING melanoma. Imagine that, the SPF companies have been pushing all this chemical goop for 30 years and it ends up that people are dying of lack of Vitamin D. SPF causes skin cancer in itself by the way. Moderation is the key to everything in life.
