You need a lotion no matter what – it helps to regulate the tan (just telling you so you know that you should always have one) – To start with you should choose a lotion that has a bronzer – it will make you feel better about the experience because it will make your skin glow a bit.

All beds are totally different – so the lotion isn’t going to help you if you’re in the bed too long anyways. Make sure you talk to the person at the front desk, and get their opinion of how long and how many times a week you should be in the tanning bed.

If you feel that your skin is burning (you feel that tingling feeling) than get out of the bed right away, and wait a couple of days before going back in – it’s no fun walking around with a burn.

T2max is OK – HONESTLY all lotions are OK – all they really do is regulate the tan – what’s going to stop you from burning is being smart about easing into the tanning world – very small time increments more frequently until you get a base tan, and ten start dialing it up and staying in longer every time.

    Good Luck!!
