Obamacare’s First Tax Frustrates Tanning Salon Owners

Raleigh, NC – The first tax under Obamacare is a 10% sales tax on indoor tanning salons. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act required tanning salons to start collecting the tax on July 1st. However, business owners across the country are unsure of details related to the tax, because the IRS released its rules only weeks before the deadline.

Struggling small businesses already getting robbed by their health insurance companies now have to charge their customers a 10% shake down tax collected by the IRS then forwarded to — you guessed it— health insurance companies! This health care bill is a fraud and only tightens the screws on small business.

A smart single payer system would have freed us from this tyranny but both Democrats (with this bill) and Republicans (through their neglect) have sold us out.
