Most tanning salon lotions cost between $20-50! What is the main difference between using these brands and just using , let’s say, Lubriderm, before I go tanning? (in a tanning bed). I’d rather use the regular lotion if it will give me the same effect because it’s definitely cheaper.

yes they can be expensive, ive seen bottles for almost 100! most tanning lotions come with special tan “accelerators” or a “tingle factor”. apparently these additions in the lotion make you tanner, faster!
The only difference is the ones they sell are usually made for those high wattage lamps. They help with long term skin damage. If you pay attention to what you are buying in the store you will be fine with bringing your own.
i used hawaiin tropics tanning bed lotion (10$ a bottle) and it works awesome. i was always dark as heck, and i didnt pay alot. they would always try to sell me 50 dolla bottles but im not dumb! hawaaiin tropics is the best, and u can get it at any store!
ive used reg but it will take a tan longer to show up the ones you can buy have a bronzer or a tingling factor that make you get dark fast i use the $20 from my salon and it works great.my friend uses the ‘pink’ hairspray[like for blk people][not racist lol] and it makes her dark and its like $5 neva use babyoil in the tanning bed or go into it with a spray on tan or selftanning lotion when tanning
My sister got her tanning lotion from Sally Beauty Supply. It’s a knockoff brand of California Tan’s Hot Chocolate (one of our classic favs from way back!) and she swears it works just as well. I think she paid $10 for it.
The tanning beds are probably faster, my hubby went there and for over a year he had these vertical lines on his back. One on each side of his back. it was so strange. My sister in law used tanning lotion from L’Oreal, and it was fantastic! We all thought she was under the sun here in LA from day break til sun down everyday. But it was just the lotion and she barely went out. I didn’t really notice til my mother in law pointed it out.
