When Using An Indoor Tanning Bed, Do Tanning Lotions Really Work/help?

I’ve always uses a special lotion when indoor tanning because the shop owners have always strongly recommended it. Often times, the bottles of lotion sell for $50. When the cost of tanning is roughly $5-6 per tan, tacking on $2-3 for lotion raises the cost of tanning to almost $10.

So, do these lotions REALLY work? I’m sure moisturizing the skin before or after tanning is a good idea, but could I just use regular old Jergens lotion or something?

  1. yung clutch says:

yes because if you dont tanning beds will try your skin out

  2. The rays the beds use are different from the sun’s. They’re artificial and pretty much don’t exist anywhere else, so your best bet is to use their lotions that are designed to work with their beds.

My sister used her own once, but she looked much better when she used theirs. You really can tell the difference!
