Will A Tanning Salon Spray Work In The Sun Too?

I have this tanning salon spray called Tan2Max. The bottle says for intense tanning and proven tanning bed friendly. It does not contain a sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn. Can I use this tanning spray for tanning out side in the sun too…? Or is it only for tanning salon’s and won’t work outside in the sun?

    It can be both

  4. if you use it outside there’s a good chance you will burn if you aren’t careful.

when tanning outside, it’s important to wear atleast a low spf sunscreen/tanning lotion so that your skin isn’t damaged as much.

Yes u can. The bronzers in tanning lotions are activated under the UV light. The UV darkens it more then it would if you just applied it as a self tanner.
Also, your recieving a real tan at the same time and bronzers look best with a base tan underneath!
White skin + brown bronzer = blend of orange
If your skin is dark underneath the bronzer wont look as fake and wont show streaks.

Make sure to exfoliate before applying for an EVEN tan!

  6. A tanning salon uses UV rays, the same as the sun. (For this reason tanning beds are extremely dangerous to your health, and bad for your skin, as it exposes your skin to very strong, very close UV rays – which, by the way, is what gives you wrinkles, as well as skin cancer!) So yes, theoretically the tan booster should work in the sun as well. But DO be sure to use an SPF in the sun, and avoid tanning beds. No tan is worth skin cancer, and later in life you don’t want to be fighting wrinkles if you can prevent them now.

I was a manager in a salon for over a year and have never really heard of that spray, but from the sounds of it, I definitely would NOT use it in the sun. It probably would work outside, but instead of a tan, it will just damage your skin beyond belief. Anything that does not include sunscreen should not be used outdoors. The sun is a powerful thing and can do more damage to your skin than you would believe. Sometimes salons sell the lotions that work both indoors and outdoors, but when using them outdoors, I always make sure to put sunscreen on before applying the lotion.
